First aid confidence for pēpi, tamariki and whānau.
Hands-on, whānau-centred workshops for new parents, parents-to-be, grandparents, caregivers and community groups caring for tamariki under five.
Kia tiakina. Kia āwhinatia. Kia tupu ngātahi.
Care • Protect • Empower
Qualified Paramedic. Mum. Grandmother. Community educator.
Kia ora koutou, I’m Raewyn Lawrence, founder of Tiaki Ngā Pēpi First Aid.
I’m a qualified paramedic based on the Karikari Peninsula, with over 10 years of frontline experience. I’m also a mum of five and a grandmother of four.
I created Tiaki Ngā Pēpi because in the Far North, help can take time — and often it’s whānau who need to act first. My goal is to give you the confidence to stay calm and know what to do in those critical moments.
The meaning behind our logo.
The harakeke/flax represents whakapapa — the strength of whānau, generations, connection and protection. The leaves hold the māmā and tamaiti, reflecting the way whānau surrounds, nurtures and protects pēpi.
The koru designs within the harakeke symbolise growth, new life, learning and the unfolding journey of parenthood.
The hapū māmā and toddler at the centre reflect the heart of Tiaki Ngā Pēpi First Aid: protecting pēpi, tamariki and the people who care for them.
